Competition Information


CoMIS 2017, the sixth annual Competition on Management Information Systems, is a chance for you to test your business skills and information systems knowledge against those of the elite group of students chosen to represent their schools while building your awareness as a future business leader.

The four day competition will be held March 29 – April 1, 2017 and will include a 24-hour case competition with over 15 teams from internationally recognized MIS programs, along with several educational and networking events with corporate sponsors.


Each university will be represented by a team of three undergraduate upperclassmen. The competition will take place beginning on Friday morning. Teams will have 24 hours to read the case and develop their solution. Teams will then present their recommendations to the CoMIS judging panel in a 20 minute presentation, 10 minutes Q&A format on Saturday morning. The top team from each group will present in the final round on Saturday afternoon. The winners will be announced at the Awards Banquet on Saturday evening.


The fee for each team (consisting of 3 undergraduate students and 1 coach/advisor) is $800. This fee includes the cost of all events, meals and transportation for all CoMIS-sponsored activities.
